Lisa Andreano is an expert on lichens. She wrote, “Common Lichens of the Estero Bay Area” Learn the symbiotic make up between algae and fungus. Lichens are widespread in out Ranch forest and have many uses such as in the making of dyes, perfumes as well as in traditional medicines.
